This report presents the outcomes of the first SMARTDEC transnational workshop, held during Business2Sea 2025 in Porto, Portugal. The workshop brought together technology providers, maritime stakeholders, research organisations and public authorities to discuss decarbonisation technologies and their potential application in the Atlantic maritime sector. Through innovation pitches and stakeholder feedback, participants explored technology readiness, adoption drivers, investment potential and barriers to implementation. The findings contribute to the development of a regional technology–needs matching framework for the Atlantic Area.
